Grade breakdown

Overview of the visual and technical choices that shaped the final look

Look & Palette

The desert is treated with a desaturated, dusty palette, where browns, greys and soft beiges blend into a nearly monochrome world. The performance scenes contrast this with sculpted lighting, warm skin tones, red washes and pockets of cyan.

Skin & Exposure

Outdoor skin tones stay grounded and honest, allowing dust, wind and natural texture to read realistically. Indoor performance scenes adopt a more stylized treatment, letting red and amber lights wrap around the face while maintaining clarity in the eyes.

Shot Matching

Matching aligns the two aesthetics while letting them remain distinct. Desert scenes stay consistent in tonality and contrast, with cohesive greys and warm browns. Performance shots are matched around contrast curves, black levels and highlight density, ensuring a seamless rhythm between the two environments.
